Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Chestnuts & Balsamic



20 brussel sprouts, washed cleaned and cut in halves

100 grams of roughly chopped cooked chestnuts

1 to 2 tbsp good quality balsamic

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

1 bunch of thyme, chopped


Preheat oven to 200 C. Get a baking tray and line with foil. Add the brussels and all the remaining ingredients except the chestnuts and mix well. Place in the oven for about 20 to 25 minutes, tossing every 8 to 10 minutes to crisp all the sides. At about 15 minutes, take out of the oven and add the chestnuts and mix well. Return to the oven to finish cooking. Adjust seasoning and serve immediately.
